Inca Trail Permits to Machu Picchu for 2018 Already for Sale

The most popular, and by many accounts the most glorious, way to first observe the beautiful Inca Citadel Machu Picchu is to hike the Inca Trail, an amazing four-day trek of approximately 45 kilometers.

Along the famous route in the Cusco area, trekkers pass many Incan ruins and settlements located along the Inca Trail before ending at the Sun Gate on Machu Picchu Mountain.

Sales of the tickets for the Inca Trail began on October 5, 2017 , four months earlier than previous years. Up till now, the Inca Trail permits use to go on sale on January 6th every year.

And even though the hiking season on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is far from over – there are still permits for November and December – the permits for high season 2018 are selling out quickly. The 500 available daily Ina Trail permits will be sold in October 2017 for every month of 2018, excluding February which is when the trail is closed for maintenance.

The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is the most famous trek in the American continent.

Every year, more than 172,000 people (including hikers, porters, guides, cooks) did hike the Inca trail to one of the wonders of the world; the lost city of Machu Picchu.
The permits for the Inca Trail be purchased only through a certified travel operator.
