Day 2 : Belluda Cano or Yanallpa & El Dorado River Tour
- Dawn and dusk are the ideal times for nature observation, so you will rise early and enjoy a filling breakfast before setting off on your first Amazon exploration. The activity that will be offered is dependent on the season.
- In the rainy season (December to May), you will head out on a Belluda Stream Tour aboard a skiff that will take you through the dark water stream to the spectacular Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, the largest protected wetland reserve in the world. It is bursting at the seams with spectacular wildlife. From the skiff, you can easily spot parrots, macaws and monkeys, as well as various types of birds and butterflies.
- In the dry season (June to November), enjoy a visit to the Yanallpa community and explore the various ecosystems, such as the flooded forest and terra firme forest. Once you disembark at this native village, you will begin your hike through the forest where you will be able to observe the many wild species. After an hour, you will reach the beautiful secluded lagoon where canoes await you for a ride across the waters filled with exotic species. Hike back to the skiffs to continue your journey.
- After lunch back on the Delfin I, you will hop back on the skiffs for the ride to El Dorado River and one of the best observation spots in the reserve, where you can also enjoy the unique experience of watching and swimming among gray and pink river dolphins. Admire the myriad squirrel monkeys and iguanas laying in the sun, and many more animals.

- Jump in the clear and warm water for a refreshing morning swim before hopping on the skiffs for your journey back to the Delfin I where you will enjoy another exquisite lunch. An exciting expedition to the Atun Poza Lake awaits you in the afternoon. Depending on the season, you will enjoy one of two options.

You will also have a chance to explore other black water lagoons linked to this gigantic lake, where wattled jacanas compete with a wide variety of spiders.
- In the dry season, you will take a hike through the pristine and unique ecosystem surrounding Lake Atun Poza, passing through classic tropical rainforest, one of the richest habitats on earth. - In the dry season, you will head out on a shore-bird searching adventure. When the river is very low, broad white sandy beaches emerge, creating a special ecosystem that harbors sandpipers, terns that hover and dive to catch fish, black skimmers with their peculiar low flight over the water’s surface, egrets, jabirus, wood storks, and king fishers.
- After a delicious and satisfying lunch aboard the Delfin I, you will have the chance to visit the native riverside community of Yallpana, and meet some of the villagers to learn about their unique way of life.
